I have put the clocks forward, and intend to go to bed early. Or possibly intended, now I have logged on here. Does the quiet mean everyone else is out partying because it is Saturday night?
I am struggling to type as I burnt one hand while getting a pan out of the oven tonight. The struggle is because of the ointment (Nelson's burn ointment, it may be called) and the stickiness of the hand. I think I covered it quickly enough that it will be fine in the morning, maybe a little pink but definitely not blistered. It doesn't hurt now thank goodness. I should be able to cook without burning myself by now!

Ah, wait Danuta, what is the title of your book? Yes I loved the mussels, they were rope grown in Scotland and they smelled of the sea, wonderful stuff!
Barbara, get yourself some Aloe Vera gel for burns or any skin injury, it works like a dream to cool the skin and you probably won't get a scar. And have a big hug ~
I'll try that again!
Party poopers! It is still only 12.30, or possiby 1.30......
Kateuk makes things at http://www.etsy.com/shop/finkstuff and sometimes she does this too http://www54paintings.blogspot.com/ and also this http://finkstuff.weebly.com/
Being two hours ahead means there is no way I can stay up as long as you lot bet your not up as early as I am though
Joanna, I have been wondering how many hours ahead you are to be posting at such unearthly hours!
TA, thanks for the hug and the suggestion of Aloe Vera gel. The Nelsons ointment (maybe it is gel, can't remember) works wonders, too.
Danny, there will be no scar this time, the skin feels slightly odd but not red or painful at all. So I have nothing to show for the
My cooking scars are from chopping fingers along with the veg. It seems to go in phases where the last one has just healed and I do it again
and then not for ages. Maybe I should try the Aloe Vera for that?

The book I am reading for the Book Club is The Testament of Gideon Mack by James Robertson. Not sure yet if I am going to like it. I shall let you know! Anyone actually read it?

The burn is not painful, visible if I really, really look for it (take my glasses off and peer nearsightedly ) but it does not hurt! Not even in the shower! I have avoided further tests involved soaking it in hot water today, but the washing up will need to be done tomorrow...
I am very pleased, as I got my thumb, and the first finger in three places, so to have it all healed in 24 hours is pretty good.

That's really good Barbara, burns can be not only sore but a real nuisance when doing household chores. The remedy is get someone else to do the washing up. ( I'd have real difficulty with this )
