It's always nice to pass on your experience to your kids or grand kids.......even if you are not skilled in that subject.
I managed to drag my 14 year old grandson off the PC today to introduce him into bread baking. Once he started mixing and kneading he was soon converted into home baking.......we made a loaf each...here's some pics

Hi Terry,
That's the way to do it......well done ! The loaves look wonderful & I bet you both had a great time do it together. I know I learn't so much from my grandparents that has been useful (& pleasurable) in my life. I think there is a very special bond between grandparents & grandchildren.
Did you bake the loaves in your wood-fired oven? I long to try baking in one.

Thanks for the comments ......it was good fun.....and his turned out the best. We used our domestic oven to bake the bread....I should really fire the WFO up more often.
I am building a base at the moment for a 90cm Pompeii oven/grill station......I hope he'll be interested in helping me build the oven....not quite there yet......here's day one's progress..
