I made this ice-cream last week and came here to thank the Forum for providing the recipe link for The Easiest Chocolate Ice-Cream recipe ever, only I can't find the post now. Did I get the recipe here, or am I imagining things (again)?
Anyway, this is an easily-made, absoutely delicious dessert and I'm having a hard time sharing it with anyone.
2 ounces (55 g) bittersweet or semisweet chocolate, chopped
6 tablespoons (80 ml) milk, whole or low-fat
6 tablespoons (80 ml) Baileys liquor
1 medium-sized ripe banana, peeled*, and cut into chunks
1 tablespoon (15 ml) dark rum
1. In a small bowl set over a pan of simmering water (or in the microwave), melt the chocolate with the milk.
2. Blend the melted chocolate the Baileys, the banana, and rum until smooth.
3. Pour into a plastic or metal container, cover, and freeze for at least 4 hours.
And I'm now addicted to Mr Lebovitz's blog as well!
I think it was I who posted it Shereen....I am mad about his recipes...they all seem to work so well. Heaven knows which thread I posted it on.........!!
I am so glad it worked so well for you I want to get his ice-cream book now.
