I've just come across a recipe (if you can even call it that) for what must be the easiest (and wackiest) sweet bread recipe going.....apparently it's a southern American recipe. It has just 2 ingredients!
2 cups softened full fat ice cream
1.5 cups self raising flour
Mix together, place in a greased bread tin and bake at 350 deg for around 40 mins.
I watched a video of someone making it and it does indeed rise and look like a loaf....albeit a cake-like one.
Just intrigues me as to how (and why!) somebody originally thought of mixing ice cream and flour!
learning to love veg…..except celery :-O
I'm always a bit distrustful of recipes which claim to have a small number of ingredients then one ingredient turns out to be practically a ready-made or 'kit' (such as 3 ingredient cakes when one ingredient is cake mix).
This recipe is a lot like a 'quickest pizza base' recipe someone in work told me about, which was yoghurt and self raising flour. I've still not got round to trying it yet though.
