I finally got around to putting the recipe for the brownies I brought to the CSH party on my blog. It's a great recipe because you don't need any chocolate 🙂 Honestly! Just cocoa ...

I will give this recipe a go this coming weekend! We have broken in the new oven and the first item baked was brownies (Morrisons packet mix and it tasted great - not bad for 89p). My sister will be home this weekend and as she decided to break things off with her boyfriend yesterday is in need of comfort food...we have milktart on standby tonight and I will do the brownies and apple pie for the weekend...beats ice cream at any rate...

What's milktart, Rob?
Do you have a recipe?
Sounds interesting...
Hi, I do have a recipe (there are so very many variations though so if this isn't to your taste, Google for more...news24 - the South African online news site, has quite a few). I shall post the recipe up as a new post.
Milktart is in essence a custard tart I guess, very mildly flavoured though in comparison to say, the Portuguese Pasteis. A bit sweeter though than those awful custard tarts you can buy at Tesco (those were seriously disappointing to me).
