I just made truffles with 200g, 70% cocoa dark chocolate, 200ml double cream. Heated the cream, stirred in the chocolate until melted. Chopped up the fruit & stirred it in with 2 -3 tablespooons of the gin! Rolled into small balls, using cocoa covered hands & a container with cocoa powder in it to hand! Drizzled more melted chocolate over. Had great difficulty keeping enough to wrap as presents.
Along the chocolate theme, how about adapting this (originally from Jamie at Home) http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/jamie-at-home/t.....sp;Imagine the chopped sloes would go nicely with this.
Let us know what you end up doing, I've got quite a few to do something with soon!!
