I have had a go at making Diana Henry's vodka pear william.....
Basically, 800ml vodka, half a nutmeg, a william pear and a sliver of shaved orange peel. In a kilner jar.
Put on a window sill for a month, gently shaking from time to time......
add sugar after a month
SO - I have a problem! the pear looks rather brown and not pretty - and there is a split in it.
What can I do???? Should I change the pear?
