Not long ago I came across these beautiful patchwork animals by Bryony Jennings & I thought you might enjoy them too.

Amazing, aren't there some very clever people out there!
Trying to enjoy life as it is
Bryony has given a link to this site, (Lori Marie) and by wandering around this site, I saw this :
a fabric-lover's dream .........
Go for it Nadine! You can sew for pleasure instead of for a deadline
Hi Joanna,
I never had to sew for a living as my job was designing (on paper, or actually on the dancers/actors). I very occasionally made a prototype costume or sample of the treatment on it if I thought the actual maker or dyer didn't understand what I wanted. Luckily I worked with an immensely talented group of people over the years...they were a great bunch of Living Treasures & I am eternally grateful to them. The great thing about a theatrical production is that it exists as the sum of the experience & talents of a large group of people. That is what I always loved about it & thank my lucky stars to have been able to spend my working life enjoying it's challenges.

I see. You certainly designed some inspirational stuff. Still go for it though
I am very impressed by this picture patchwork from Australia. It is fairly unusual to find something so lively & painterly in this medium. I wonder what other pieces this couple have produced.

Ah, I did find a bit more about them & my instinct was right that he is a painter & she is the quilter.

I also found this piece of patchwork quilting which I love.

I think I am more attracted to the more asymmetric works rather than the more common block-y pieces; well, at the moment anyway, as I have some ideas for paintings etc on my mind. It takes me a lot of thinking before I actually start. I keep an ideas notebook in which I write & sketch things.
