Groupon (discount voucher firm) are running ads on the site through Vibrant, the agency that puts the green underlined links on 2 or 3 keywords in each of Fiona's blog articles.

The keyword "delicious" on the latest blog post, the gnocchi recipe, takes you to the Groupon site and earns Fiona a few pennies.

I registered with Cambridge as my nearest city because that is where we are taking Dan and Michelle for a day out. Cambridge is one of my favourite English cities, along with Norwich and York, although I have not seen an awful lot of cities when I think about it. Brighton is another favourite. heart

Anyway, joy of joys. A punt along the River Cam is a pleasurable experience and Groupon are running a discount deal that ends this evening. Saves £29 on the normal cost for 4. Sorted. cool The coupon is valid for two months.

Apparently, if we recommend friends and a friend buys a Groupon deal within 72 hours of being recommended, then Fiona earns £6 credit with Groupon.

So, whether or not you intend to buy anything at all, let me "sign you up" if you are interested (submit your email addr to Groupon). You never know what bargains may be available in your locality! star

Appears they are bankrupting lot's of small businesses with high power salesmen cold calling. Example from business section of todays Sun.Times :- Healthy Nibbles  in New York got signed up, Voucher gives holder $15 food for $7 Groupon takes half leaving $3.50 for café sales tax & card fees leave $2.75 to pay staff, suppliers etc .As the Café owner said "this is a promotion ". She also points out that you get very little return trade as they have other vouchers for your rivals.

Don't expect a song from your Puntolier Danny and it might be as well to take a lifejacket . big_laughbig_laugh

Seed catalogues are responsible for more unfulfilled fantasies than the web and playboy combined . (after Michael Perry)
