I would not have believed this if I had not seen it myself.
Our cheapo but reliable and economical Bendix Tricity dishwasher stopped working over a month ago. First it was simply not completing the cycle. Then the water was not heating up. So we reverted to manual wash-up while we waited until we had enough cash to call our reliable repair man.
F hates parting with cash to repair something until she has tried her damndest to fix it herself first. T'interweb is a fab resource as we all know. So she delved in and investigated possible causes and solutions.
The easiest one to try - and I was totally sceptical - was to treat it for limescale.
Blimey.
She used a Finish product and then a cheaper Tesco version. It worked!
Now it heats correctly and swishes through its eco cycle without stuttering.
Oh the joy of simply having somewhere to stack the dirty dishes again
At least £50 saved.
Never knowingly underfed
I am out of love with dishwashers. We bought a new Bosch for here having always had Bosch in the past. It often does not wash things properly even when using expensive Finish products, the cheap range, forget it! Possibly the problem is that all machines here are cold fill. As we need another dishwasher for the big Gite I am going to put it in there where it will never need to do any heavy duty washing up and go back to manual washing up.
Trying to enjoy life as it is
