Well October the 2nd 2021 has arrived and as for the garden some thing the garden is slowing down "But" as far as work in the garden it is just starting up getting ready for next years gardening.

Just as the annual flowers are showing the last of the flowers the winter is soon to be on us and so now is the time to start clearing the borders of the annuals and also clipping the last clippings of those hedges, Here in France the October can be quite warm and sunny "but" gardening is all about nature and as we know you can open the curtains one morning to a lovely crisp frosty  picture and this is when you will be glad you did your garden clock work at the right time, So have a think about clearing the space  for next years gardening,

BULBS, again October is a good time for planting Daffs/Tulips etc as now the under soil is still warm and the bulbs will settle in just nice.

The work load just now is endless but all the time your filling that friend "The compost area up" And what a friend the compost is. Pure gardening gold in a bin, As the unwanted fruit's fall from the trees the compost is crying out "put them here" and not very long from now those fruit trees will be covering the ground below with leaves "again" the compost is waiting for it's next feed, Now is the time to cover the heap with black plastic and let nature and humus do its work for that spring garden soil feed.

Oh your not finished yet with those trees in the garden !!! As the leaves come down and you have a nude tree sitting there it is not quite the time for  fruit tree pruning "but now is the time to mark the branch area's you intend to remove around about January when the tree's sap has lowered,

All this work to think about NOW and you thought it was coming to the end of the gardening seasondoh

But for those who like shoppingwhat_the_heckwhat_the_heckwhat_the_heck more to come later.
