This wonderful stuff is easy to get hold of in Europe but what is it called in the States and where do you get it from. I am just trying to explain it to an American friend

Thanks Hattie your a . I spent two years in the US and never got to the bottom of that one, ended up buying it in the UK and taking it back with me.
Not sure if this is the right place tomention it, but our local £ shop, (there are 2 in york and they sell simliar stuff, so I assume it's the same across the uk) are sellling garden fleece at the moment. most of it is £1 for 5 mtrs, but I got some tomato stuff which was 10m for the usual £1. good stuff
