Emptied all hanging baskets/troughs this weekend, cleared greenhouses and then refilled with hardy plants that are in pots, so slightly more susceptible that when in the ground. It's supposed to being going to be a cold winter, so have moved all plants in pots to a sheltered area.

there's still loads of weeding to be done When I get time

Brought in all my potted plants last night in case of frost. Keeping an eye on three small eggplants but they seem to have survived the cold night okay. Just have some Swiss Chard and parsley left in the garden but I am so bored with both (they have grown like wildfire since the weather cooled down), I won't worry about them.

OH has picked of all the remaining tomatoes, green and red and clered the greenhouse of vines. I picked the what I thought was the remaining runner beans and noted there were still a few to come, so the vines have stayed in place.

Are we having fun yet? I am!

Dug up a patch that had been taken over by mint and put in some garlic cloves for next year's harvest. Unfortunately, that only leaves me with three heads from this year's crop - they are so much tastier than store-bought.

OH has tidied up in the polytunnel and planted garlic and white onions in the last week or so.  Today we have bought a loganberry plant ready to go into the fruit garden but with the forecast for the next week, not sure when it will get into the ground!  It's still very wet and windy although unseasonably mild.

Cleared out my veg patch this weekend, the last couple of cabbages have gone to the hens. there are a few bits and pieces left, artichokes and horseradish. I also noticed that some of my garlic which failed earlier in the year ( I think I left them in pots too long before getting them in the earth) are sprouting.

Yesterday we managed to plant the loganberry and move a gooseberry bush.  We actually had sun for most of the day so it was pleasant to be outside.  I pulled two enormous carrots from the polytunnel and made carrot juice.  Rather tasty.
