Having rigged up some pieces of yellow paper covered in petroleum jelly (vaseline) which seems to be quite effective in getting rid of whitefly, I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for other substances that could be used to catch the whitefly that does not use petroleum?
Grease as used for grease bands on fruit trees? Craft re-positionable glue? I haven't looked to see what these are made of, so I can't say if they are petroleum based. Most things I have thought of are too runny, or so thick the yellow wouldn't show through. I'd be really interested to hear if someone comes up with something that doesn't use petroleum.
