This week has been very strict for me (resulting in 7kg weight loss from Monday to Thursday):

Breakfast: alternating porridge or two hard boiled egg whites

Mid-morning: two hard boiled egg whites

Lunch:  Fritatta (of sorts) made with 2 eggs and 300g mixed veg (broccoli, cauliflower, spinach and

           courgette)

Mid-afternoon:  two hard boiled egg whites

Dinner:  grilled chicken breast with 300g of steamed cauliflower (and once some fried mushrooms).

Very lean eating incorporating principles from the diet I did last year and Harcombe which is getting results...I need to drop a fair bit quickly over the next month so figured this was the way to go.

Thursday, Day 17 of Phase 2:

Breakfast:  Watermelon with feta cheese & chopped up fresh mint leaves over the top.

Lunch:  Cold ham (home-cooked), 2 hard-boiled eggs, a rice cake & 2 peaches afterwards.

Supper:  More watermelon, ham & cottage cheese & basil leaves. I wasn't very hungry so decided to repeat breakfast....I preferred the cottage cheese to the feta.

wave  Goodness me Rob, 7kg in 4-5 days!!  Is that quite safe?  And will you manage to keep it off?  However there does seem to be enough to eat.

Thursday

Breakast/Lunch:  2 slices seeded loaf with tomatoes  ( never quite made breakfast as I was in town early and hate eating early morning)

Dinner:  Chicken breast with a lovely herb salad.  Berries and yoghurt  Glass of white wine

It works alright for me Danast.  It is the 'refeeding' that follows that has to be carefully managed.  So that is the bit where harcombe will come in particularly useful.

Friday

Breakfast:   2 slices seeded loaf with tomatoes

Lunch:  Courgette and tomato soup and a small piece of brown baguette

Dinner:  Chicken curry and brown rice.  I used the same spice mix as for the butternut squash curry, but only added onion and mushroom.  It was very good and I ate too much of it.  Felt very full afterwards - not good!!!!     Glass of white wine

Bowl of strawberries throughout the day.

Saturday, Day 19 of Phase 2:

Breakfast:  3 rashers of unsmoked bacon & 2 fried eggs.

Lunch:  Fruit only, a small banana, a peach & a few strawberries.

Dinner:  Roast chicken, cooked with a whole bulb of garlic, dried savoury & a quartered orange, which I had with a huge mound of steamed spinach & the gravy from the roast.

More strawberries with black pepper for afters.

Glass of red wine

It was very tasty for a supermarket chicken (thanks Ocado) & the texture was good, plus it was only £3.91 & will make 2 big meals plus soup from the carcass.

Sunday, Day 20 of Phase 2:

Breakfast:  Strawberries & watermelon.

Lunch:  Cold roast chicken, salad of lettuce, spring onions, cherry tomatoes & sliced fresh peach & fresh basil.  A banana for afters.

Dinner:  I decided I could not face cooking last night so I had the remaining cold breast of chicken, a hard-boiled egg, & a peach salsa I made out of the surplus salad from lunch by adding some cottage cheese to it.

Strawberries afterwards.

You are doing well Danuta. Is the weight coming off again? You are eating very little.

Tuesday, Day 22 of Phase 2:

Breakfast:  A peach & banana.

Lunch:  A couple of hard-boiled eggs, some cottage cheese plus a few salad & herb leaves.

Dinner: A couple of thin pork chops, marinated in garlic, grated ginger, herbs, olive oil, a little balsamic vinegar & lemon juice. I had a whole bunch of asparagus with this & a peach afterwards.

Glass of rose wine, which I made into 2 spritzers. smile

This hot weather makes it so easy to diet, well for me at least..... I never seem to be as hungry in the summer. I also drink a lot more water, rather than wine etc. I hope we have a long Indian Summer this autumn !!  laugh
