Okay - another question ....

(I can hear you saying - Lordy, doesn't she ever shut up?)

Well, see, the thing is, I wanted to respond to one of Fiona's blogs that was fairly recent - and it was to do with the Jane Fearnley-Whittingstall's book - but I couldn't find it, or remember the name at the top of the blog.

Now, I tried a few pertinent words, like:

Ministry of Food;

War rationing;

Jane Fearnley-Whittingstall;

etc; etc

however, nothing was revealed.

My question is - how else can I scan the recent blogs, if the few connecting words can't pick up the correct blog for me?

Really testing me now:

Maths required 12 + 10 .........

In the search facility, did you tick All Forums?

I'll try that again!

Sadly, the forum search facility is practically useless, BS. I did a search just now for Fearnley but it did not return the article you mentioned. Some helpful person did once point me to good search plugins for the blog. I need to take some leave and get it done.

Never knowingly underfed

Brightspark - it's probably a bit late now but it wasn't Nip it in the bud was it?

Ok my question - this signature lark - are you restricted to one line only?  I tried setting a quote then below this the addy of my blog and it didn't work.  Made it one line and inserted / and n's.  Confused

Did you remember to click on the 'update profile' button afterward?

I'll try that again!

Ruth, this is the right subject, yes. Ok

Although it seems unimportant now, but I just wanted to respond to Fiona's daily blog about this book. Having read her discussion about it, I mentioned it to my husband that I thought it was a good idea, and then forgot all about it - until - ta da - I received the book as a birthday pressie from him!

A bit of non-news now, tho .....   Big_Laugh  Big_Laugh

Righto - another question.

Today, I though I would check-in to the forum, and for more than an hour I was unable.

It wasn't my connection, either, because I was able to look on other websites.

Question: what causes this to happen?

and another, more trivial though, why do I have so many Maths adding up to 13 - is there a message coming through to me ????

No idea of the cause BS but I kept getting the message error 102, for a lot longer than an hour too.  I was just about to text Danny when it all came back on line again.  More frustration!  Monster   I hope it stays up for the rest of the day and beyond.

No clue about the Maths either, I don't have to do them any more, isn't that brilliant?

I'll try that again!

I did.  It worked in that it added it but it changed it to all one line and I've worked out that the 'n's' it put in were my return button presses when I was making the quote and the addy on different lines.  It came out  like this:

"Beware of the leopard."nnhttp://8ampersandruth.blogspot.com/

Not really what I wanted. Cry

Ah, I understand.  Are you aware though, that we can access your blog by clicking on the blue/green button just to the right of the date you last posted?

I'll try that again!

Aha - I wasn't.  Learning every day on here.  Smile

Do I assume then that the signature is single line only?  Mind you doesn't Elrohana have a double line one?  Hmmm - one to try out some more I think.
