Hi all, I will be wanting to make some cheese come back end ,
i hope there will be large amounts of apples, quince, etc
so i am wondering which mouli or Triturator to buy,
the seive is not an option ,
has any one done this sort of thing in bulk and can give me any advice,
also any body any idea how to cost a jar of chutney / jam for sale
happy days, edna
I sell many jams/ chutnies, but in France. I sat down and worked out the cost per jar for all my recipes and decided on a set rate per jar for all, thus making very little on some but loads on others. In the end it depends on what the market will stand and how much or rather little you are prepared to make. Dont forget to include labour time as chutnies particularly are very labour intensive.
If you are selling I find it better to have uniform jars to give a nice look.
