Sure can, Pete and if you're not too sure, try it with just a couple of jars, and if it works, do the same to the rest!
Welcome, Pete, sorry for my tardiness, I've been out of action for a few weeks!
I could try using it to pack the sun and planets in the wobble box of my whimwham for grinding smoke, would probably work as well as the coconut milk cheese in use at present !
Salutations and good luck

Made the Damson Jelly, took it to good setting point (wrinkle test).....
Opened a jar, for a sandwich, this morning - And it's set too thick. Can't even spread it!
Anything I can do? Can it be reheated, with a little liquid? Will this work? Have 8 jars of it!!
Pete, If it is very firm and you can't get it to an acceptable consistency by melting and adding water, try salvaging some of it by scooping it out of the jars with a melon baller, rolling the balls in caster sugar and hey presto -damson sweeties.
Gone crazy. Back soon.

Heather, thanks.
As it happened, thought I'd take it on my own, and add a little juice from some apples I'd strained overnight.
Managed to get it out of the jars, SLOWLY incorporated it, over a very low light. Didn't need to boil - reached a lovely setting point all on it's own.
Re-bottled, so to speak (can you use 're-jared'??)
Result - Lovely set jelly; With a subtle apple hint. Perfick! Must remember - 'twice cooked jelly'!!
