Just about to turn my apple juice into mint jelly using Fiona's recipe on her blog page when I realised it asks for white wine vinegar.
I thought I had some but when I looked all I have is white distilled vinegar, cider vinegar, malt vinegar or red wine vinegar.
Should I leave it till I can get the white wine one or are any of the others OK to use?

Thanks - I might give that a go if I can't get any white. Hubby is on to it for me and hoping to pick some up on way home. I suppose the cider would be ok taste wise as the jelly is being made from juice of apples - now why didn't I work that out earlier - what a twit
Thanks for helping

Thanks Shelley - made it today instead and used the white wine vinegar that hubby bought on way home. I don't have a lot of mint in the garden at the moment (never thought I would say that) so if it hadn't turned out ok I would have then been in need of more mint for next batch...if you see what I mean.
Next time I'll know better and be braver but this was first batch using vinegar so thought would stick to Fiona's ingredients.......it tastes lovely
