Here's a link to preserving vine leaves. .
Well done on posting your first topic! I've welcomed you elsewhere..
I'll try that again!
At least I can use this recipe even if my vines don't bother producing vines. Thanks TA
Got a few hundred stacked in blanched "cigars" and also stacked green vine leaves in the freezer. they work very well for dolmades/koupepia as well as wrapping in homemade quick cheeses.
Try using fig leaves too as they impart a very subtle taste and aroma to many foodstuffs..
Havent posted in a while but hello everybody I am still here but foraging is increasing at present and time is too short!!!... pressed 140kg of apples for cider and pomace goes straight to the geese!!! more apples from locals to come!!!!!!!
Regards
Stephen
When feed cost soar its great to be able to pick from hedgrows to bolster goose food!!... I'm keeping my eyes peeled for ash keys at the mo... hopefully I can get a few sacks before they fall!!!... Chanterelles are finished down here but puffballs are popping up everywhere!!!!!!!!
I will try and post in depth soon but Time is so scarce... Toodle pip Cottsmalls
