I am making your recipe for quince cheese--it's turned a gloriously dark, caramelly colour, and I'm ready to put it into my sterilised jars.  The directions call for well oiled jars--what sort of oil do you recommend--I don't want it to impact the flavour.  thanks, Glenna

Hi Glenna

Welcome to the forum!

Groundnut oil would be perfect as it's flavourless. Or sniff your oils and choose the one with the least scent.

Many thanks, I will try ground nut oil.  The paste tastes delicious!  Assuming it sets right, I may give some as gifts at Christmas.
