I thought this recipe for pickling red peppers was very simple & would be very useful come winter. I am going to look out for bargain peppers in the market next week. Here is the link.....

I agree with you there. I clicked on the name of someone who had left a comment and came up with her own blog which included a roasted pepper and tomato soup which I know I shall enjoy doing. the link is here.
I'll try that again!
Oh Hattie - that was posted just at the right time .
Currently in our local supermarket, (in France), they are selling nets of 6 peppers for E1.50.
I have not only saved this recipe (and printed it off), but also the Shoyu Chicken.
Here, Toni, Sissi talked about it in one of her responses, so I typed it in her search box.
Toni - Sissi also makes a mango dish that you may like .....
Shall try this one as I love pickled veg, will check out the peppers next shopping trip.
Trying to enjoy life as it is
Aly, we went into Auchan today, and the net of red peppers cost E1.99. However, this time it has 8 peppers in the net. When you consider that is about £1.55. In the UK, just 1 pepper is about 60-70p, so quite a saving.
Also a Charentais melon for E1.00 and a box of 6 beautiful peaches - E1.00.
Going to try my hand at pickled peppers now.......
