Hi Ruth - I have reported back - but on 'Achievements for the day' (page 45), but yes, nephew thoroughly enjoyed the pasties - and so did we. Ok

In fact they were so nice, that I have decided to make them for the stall in July. I won't be trying another recipe because they were so more-ish that they all disappeared in an instant! (I made nine large-ish pasties)

thumbs up

Thanks so much for your suggestion - it certainly worked! Big_Hug

Ruth, it's ages ago, I know, but I managed to send a message to her after all this time!

I have made them again, only this time, I used mashed potatoes (first time, sliced potatoes, which was prone to tear the pastry), and this worked a treat. It's actually a good basis to start - perhaps add some leeks, or other veggies.

Thanks again, for directing me to her!
