Hi
after following Fiona's blog for a little while now I thought I would extend the interest and dip into the forum.
Just to fill you in, I live with my husband of 24 years with our 2 daughters in deepest Derbyshire. We have a lovely big plot of land with plenty of room for gardening, keeping my hens, the dog and the resident guinea pigs!
I am currently studying for my RHS certificate in Horticulture and work full time as a Midwife (keeps me out of mischief)
love all things gardening - must be in my genes as both Dad and Grandad had allotments. My Dad (79) still grows al his own vegs.
look forward to contributing to the forum when I can and seeing what everone else is up to
cheers
Jane
Hi Chicken Lover. I used to live in Derbyshire for 15 years before setting off on my travels, I lived in a little village called Barlow just north of Chesterfield. I have been married just slightly longer, 25 years and have three kids, one daughter and two sons but they have all flitted the nest now .

do you have a blog? I am sure I picked your blog up through a link off Fiona's blog
I know of Barlow, my sister used to work at Walton hospital and has recently been working as a community Mental health nurse round Chesterfield and Bolsover
cheers

Jane, yes indeed - Joanna does have a blog. She is one of our more exotic links (Latvia, for goodness sake - must be unique!)
If you peer upwards at her previous post on this thread, you will see a little icon at the left (globe with a chain link), just above her post.
Any member who puts their web site URL into their profile gets that little icon. It takes you to their web site or blog.
Never knowingly underfed
Thank you Danny. Been busy with visitors these last few days.
Like Danny said Jane, I have got a blog and this next week (I post every Monday) I am going to do a quick tour of our journey over the last 10 years which starts off with Barlow as I am so amazed at the journey I have been on, quite bewildering to think how much has changed.I do also remember Walton hospital, thank goodness not had to go there for any reason, just The Royal (Chesterfield) several times with my children and once for me when I was visiting the UK (just remembered that was twice as my youngest was born there too). Small world
