I live in Brittany, France.  I have hens, rabbits, cats and goats.  If it hadn't been for the snow this week, I would have geese by now, but will have to wait until I can negotiate the small hills into my village to collect them.  I have half an acre of land, and rent the next door half acre which I can only use for grazing.  There are two polytunnels and a small barn on my land, veggie beds and a goat shed.  I enjoy growing my own produce, but my body is rebelling a bit about the bending and phyical work.  I may ask my neighbour here if he would like to share some of the work for some of the produce - not decided yet.  I've lived here for nearly four years and my children and grandson live in Cornwall.

'Alo 'Allo St Andre Laugh

Welcome to the forum, henwoman - apologies for my BBC sitcom humour. I love the fact that we have a growing number of French inhabitants contributing here.Allez!

Half an acre is quite a large space. Bigger than our entire garden, so great opportunities for growing your own stuff. Are you from Cornwall originally?

Never knowingly underfed

Welcome henwoman, sounds like you have a good set-up, not sure where you are is it near Lamballe? That's not to far from me at Gouarec.

Yes this is from another French inhabitants and love it.

Have fun.Smile
