Just catching up on posts.

What a dramatic sea change, Emma. It raises so many questions that we would love to know the answer to.

Like:

 - how big is your smallholding

- was it cleared or did you have to spend months digging up weeds

 - have you invested in livestock

 - how are you finding the whole experience to date

The very best of good luck to you cheers

Never knowingly underfed

Hi Danny,

My small holding is small indeed... just under 5,000 m2... I have rented a large feild too for the horses.

We spent months clearing it... the weeds we chest high!!

I will be buying chickens next month... got a big distracted with a couple of horses that needed a home so have been busy making them a paddock/stable! Planning on buying a couple of goats too but as I understand it they need super duper fencing! Other than that, just planning to create an area for an animal rescue centre.

We are moving as fast as money allows!

I am loving every minute of it... it truly feels like this is how I am supposed to be living...

Little frustrating in that I want it all up and running already but I am grateful to have the opportunity to live this life in the first place! 🙂

Thank you for the good luck, I'll need it!!

Emma 🙂

sorry  I am late to make you welcome, somehow I missed this thread. I am a comparative newcomer but I love it. People here are very supportive as well as being great fun. They are also very generous in sharing their knowledge.

Your new life sounds very busy already & likely to get a lot more so as you get more animals. It will be interesting to hear how it all plans out as time goes by.

Good luck with everything.
