Hello from a damp and chilly Dorset
My name is Donna and I live near the coast with my husband Brian and our totally bonkers springer spaniel, Billy.
We have made a New Year resolution to spend less and do more for ourselves. We will try our hand at anything rather than run to the shops when something needs replacing!
I have even started a blog to chart our progress and pass on any tips we learn and knowledge we aquire
I'm really looking forward to contributing

Thank you danast This is definately the friendliest forum I've ever come across! I can't imagine life without a dog! We have a spaniel at the moment but my favourite has to be the lovely labrador.

I adopted a Boxer/Masiff last year. He is now 9 months. I take him to weekly agility classes for training and he is coming on well. A very difficult breed I am told! Great fun though and very cuddly even if he is nearly as big as me.

Oh wow, I do love mastiffs but our cottage is a bit too small to have one! Training is so important isn't it. I would love to be able to do agility with our springer but obedience is something he has never been aquainted with unfortunately.
He is a rescue dog, we had a phone call one day from a friend who said that they knew of an ex-hunting dog who needed a home quickly. If one wasn't found the owner was going to take him into a field and shoot him.
Well, we were there faster than you could imagine. He was 4 when he arrived here with us and he is 8 now. The previous owners never did any training at all and it was a hard struggle to get him to listen to us but with some patience we have done some training and in the house he is perfect now.
Its just outside he goes completely deaf, won't listen to us and pulls like mad on the lead! But he is lovely
