Wow. I'm impressed, they are beautiful and I'm sure that they'll be very welcome and appreciated. A gift such as these are far more meaningful & personal than anything that can be bought. They are created with time, love and are unique, wonderful! Oh, how I wish that I could be as self disciplined as you and half as talented....Superb!

Odelle.
It's nothing to do with talent really, or even self discipline. I find doing cross stitch is quite relaxing, a bit zen like. It's easy to forget about everything else while doing it.
Just finished a smaller bear, nearly identical to one I did for my elder niece's first birthday, but that one had her name underneath and there wasn't space in the frame I had for a name this time (plus the poor girl it's for is called Favour).

I've started my preparations for the, um, big festival thing near the end of the year. I was going to make myself a sampler like the one I made for my sister last year that was based on one my mother made about 30 years ago, but then I discovered that there are actually some mistakes in the design, so i ended up redrawing it, and though I might as well add in the Welsh, since I was redrawing it, but that threw all the line lengths out, and then I had to change the lines between the words because they didn't fit anymore, and I had to make something up that would be an even width...
Also the graph paper I have has very tine squares, so that caused some headaches. But I finally got it designed, and now I'm about half way through. The red snowflakey bits are the bits I made up, do you think they work?
the original design is here

Thank you kind people for the feedbacks. I was a bit worried at first, but I think they turned out quite balanced. I'm now also planning to make a version of this on a nice blue aida. I think the richness of colours will be a win.
I might see if I can flog some via my etsy shop also. You never know

I think it works too. Funny to see Danish on their twice (well it could be Swedish or Norwegian too I think). God Jul being good Christmas and Glædelig Jul being Happy Christmas.
Top notch.

I got up his morning with that wall of negativity feeling that strikes from time to time. so my daughter took me to the local car boot to cheer me up, not a lot there but it is a bit dull and cold . Didnt take my purse because its only had moths in it for the last 3 weeks .
You guessed it theres a man there selling what i thought was just old cross stitch mags, im having a root and he says you can have all the craft crap for £5 . My daughter bought it for me , its a huge Banana box packed with aabout 50 mags with the kits, Knitted toy patterns , cross stitch hardbacks , half finished kits , dozens of transfer sheets , so much silk its unreal ....doesnt take a lot to cheer me up...lol
Treasure trove Kaye, nothing quite like it to cheer one's self up. What a lovely daughter to buy it for you. Enjoy yourself.......
I ordered 2 energy-saving Daylight bulbs from a company on Amazon & I have had them on in the last couple of days & they seem to be working on my grey moodiness. I think I will order more. I can't say they have totally banished it but it is certainly an improvement.
They are very strong & would be great to do embroidery by.
