Our friend, Mike, has a really useful DIY site that has loads of tips for DIY activities.
Well worth checking out as an aid to cutting costs.

Interesting idea for cleaning the shower door, but it's much easier to keep it clean, rather than have to buy something to clean it, surely!
We use a 'past-its-best' old flannel, and dry the door(s) (ours is a tri-fold), after turning off the shower.
I suppose though, sometimes an 'inherited' door will need cleaning.
Once clean, try my simple version!
Windshield protection now that is a good idea. I have a squeedgee in my shower cubicle to clean off the water after showering and that helps but our water has a lot of dissolved iron deposits in it, even with a filter albeit a basic one, and so it doesn't take long for our shower area to go brown, so something to stop the water adhering in the first place would be good.
