Fiona has that same model, Bobby, in red. She swears by it and rarely uses the conventional oven now.

Have you tried very thick pork chops in the halogen, crackles up a treat. I skewer them together so its skin side up for half hour at top whack after oiling and salting, then flat with the heat down to 180 to finish off.

We decided to do a roast Sunday, the joint of pork was in the freezer so I thought use the defrost function as the cookbook says.....but that setting is not on the new digital oven. A bit of research and the solution was found, roast as usual but increase cooking time by 10 minutes, the result was a perfect crackling and moist meat.

Another dish we tried was a Gammon joint,  covered with brown sugar golden syrup and mustard powder browned in the halogen, then slow cooking in cherry cola with onion. delish......
