Oh, S.O.L, get with the flow Big_Laugh

This bright spark individual has introduced whisk(e)y as a porridge topping. Now that, with your flapjack on the side, is a combo to set the heart racing, the stomach warming and the blue lights flashing RunAway

Oh, sorry, S.O.L. - but what was the flapjack for - porridge topping, too ? Smile

And what's wrong with that anyway - we have crumbles, don't we? That's just like having a flapjack on top!! Ok

No, S.O.L. not at all - you are absolutely right - I had asked what fruits people enjoy on their porridge - though now I think we're all a little confused ....Big_Hug

And what the heck has happened to this, my Porridge thread?

It's the Runaway Thread, methinks. Next thig it will be discussing enriched uranium. Yell

Well, just how is uranium enriched?

To separate the isotopes of uranium, you have to expend a lot of energy to create nuclear fuel. Because the two isotopes are almost the same size and weight, those slight differences have to be exploited in the separation process using similar techniques over and over, finally getting to the purest form. The two common production methods employ the use of diffusion or centrifuge methods. Other techniques exist (such as laser and aerodynamic processes), but they are still experimental.

See - now you know!!!!! RunAway

Okay okay, perhaps we'd better stick to porridge Big_Laugh

TA - I am not a clever clogs, I can take stuff off the internet and then it makes me look sorta clever.

I don't think I could remember it in the next 5 minutes, either ..... Big_LaughBig_Laugh

So, does the  diffusion or the centrifuge method make better porridge? We need to know before breakfast time tomorrow!

Kateuk makes things at http://www.etsy.com/shop/finkstuff and sometimes she does this too http://www54paintings.blogspot.com/ and also this http://finkstuff.weebly.com/

Well now, let me see:

Diffusion is a time-dependent process, constituted by random motion of given entities and causing the statistical distribution of these entities to spread in space. The concept of diffusion is tied to notion of mass transport, driven by a concentration gradient.

A centrifuge is a piece of equipment, generally driven by an electric motor (some older models are still spun by hand), that puts an object in rotation around a fixed axis, applying a force perpendicular to the axis.

So, I would think then, that diffusion must be the best method, otherwise the porridge would be all around the ceilings, and the walls, if the centrifuge method is applied. Whistle
