Sounds brilliant Danny (and Fiona who was, after all, the cook!) - you are meant to have eggs for breakfast anyway, so we used to be told (Go to work on an egg). ok

I'm surprised Danny! Still all the more fresh toasted bagels with cream cheese and smoked salmon for me. Ooh or the cheese and jalapeno ones toasted with butter that the wee cafe do. Buttery goodness with a hint of warmth 😉
(FWIW I'm not a fan of the supermarket bagels, they are bland and cardboardy compared to the bakery ones. And the ones we get here are a pale imitation of the ones we got in Noo Yawk).

I love Bagels, but agree with Shereen, the supermarket prepacked ones are rubbish, sainsbury's fresh ones aren't too bad. smoked salmon and cream cheese for me - with the sliced gherkins too.
