Don't know about you, Shelley, but atm it is 'persisting' down here (TA – I do like your phrase! Ok ), and the trees look all limp, and suffering under the weight of the rain.

Hope it clears up soon, because I have some more visitors coming on Friday.

In the absence of visitors atm, though, it's good to have a read through all the threads.

Lovely and sunny here - but windy.  I think my phrase is more polite than that which I wanted to use once. Big_Laugh

I'll try that again!

MOS, do you mean that when you post a reply it takes a long time to appear on the thread?

I'll try that again!

I think you are expecting to much of your respondents!  Big_Laugh  I, and I think others, after posting, go off to see if there is something else new to read then come back to whatever thread we last posted on.

I'll try that again!

Danny obviously didn't get a chance to set it up when he was on leave recently, but there is no reason why you can't just chat here.

MM a chat room allows for real time chat though; this is not quite the same !!

something more like messenger is better!

I reckon the Brits have sent the rain over here. The swimming pool gets to 25 deg - just, and then it rains, and the temp drops again. It's just too cool otherwise. Hubby goes for a swim, but I haven't been in it yet!!!!!

I do hope the forecast is wrong - our next visitors are only here for 5 days. It would be so much nicer for them to have some sun.

I wouldn't rain on your parade!  The last three years that we've been in France in 'summer' it has rained and been very cold.  I want to go in autumn this year, that is if I remember to renew my passeport.

I'll try that again!

Oh, TA, they have so many rules now for the photo in the passport - mine is quite horrid (!!!!).

You mustn't smile, you mustn't wear glasses, you must have a white or grey background. Jeez, it doesn't give any scope for a good picture. At all. Thumbs_Down

As my hair is turning grey, and the background was - grey, and I was wearing a pale scarf - daughter asked me if I had the picture taken in black and white Eeek  !

LOL - um as have private swimming pools get no sympathy. Now why is that (from England)?

Re a chat room - now is the time because there are frequently 3 or 4 logged in, which was not the case a few months ago.

Let me find one that can be hosted on somebody else;s server initially.

Never knowingly underfed

Oh dear, you can see what colour my hair is in my avatar...I'll disappear except for my eyebrows!

I'll try that again!
