Danny, loading is dreadfully slow in Chrome but not too bad in Firefox.

I'll try that again!

Hmm - I did think that Chrome was slow anyway, Toni.

Simon uses it, so if CSH was consistently slow to load he would certainly have SHOUTED! (or squeaked big_laugh )

Thank you for letting me know about the shutdown.  Yes, I think Ratty would have squeaked before now if he was having problems.  It has only been slow, for me, today, so I will keep it in firefox for the rest of the day.

I'll try that again!

Just as a matter of interest, I now favour a browser called Maxthon. Been using it for a few months.

It seems to be faster than the others. I think anyway.

I shall investigate that one, thanks.  Shutting down now?

I'll try that again!

The problem with expanding images was caused by a useful plugin that bundles some files together into one download when you visit the site. That speeds things up. But I forgot to change the list of files to suit the new forum software.

It's not a vital plugin so I have disabled it and will tweak its settings with a little help from the support forum gurus later on.

Hey! My home broadband is a Mobile based MBB  MiFi router. It is always slow, Chrome waits for the internet to respond big_laugh

If I was on a Virgin (ooo errr missus) fibre link then I probably would be complaining LOL

Thanks, S.

I am testing various theme / skin combos this morning. Trying to find something simple and green-ish like we used to have but I can't preview them. Have to try each one on here and see what looks best.
