Testing a simple chat room

It's not very pretty yet but you should be able to have private chats. I have not read all the instructions yet. I set it for logged in users only.

Oh lovely, a chat room!  I'm very pleased Danny, have belonged to other forums where there was a chat room and it's brilliant to be able to talk in real time to friends.  Thank you.

I think when you type something in when someone else is in the chat room they see it and can reply straight away. A bit like being glued to the forum!

Never used the FB chat thingy, Janet, but I guess all chat capabilities are similar.

This one seems very basic though but it's free software and hosted on our server.

I will play with it once we have ironed out the final glitches in our new layout.

TA, if you click on one of your friends down the right hand side, it brings up a box that u can type in, it's a personakl message so no-one else can see it
