I have started to use Firefox for the forum too, Eileen.  I shall try it on Chrome later.

I'll try that again!

It is always slow for me, but every other website I use is instantaneous.

Are we having fun yet? I am!

Yes, it's back to being really slow for me as well.....and, like Martin, it's only this site!  Does my head in and, frankly, puts me off coming here.

I freely admit it, I haven't the patience to keep sitting twiddling my thumbs waiting for pages to load.  And if you want to make fun of that, well go right ahead.

Just to confuse matters....I am on Chrome & today the forum is working perfectly. It hasn't been as good as this for weeks, nay months !!  I am so sorry for those still having problems.  Hugs to everyone.....big_hugbig_hugbig_hug

Er, Elsa, whinge? It's that 'h' thing again !!! big_laugh   big_laugh   big_laugh

As it 'appens, at this moment, I am using an old pc - slow? (OH is using the faster one!)

Anyone using this old thing would know what slow was!!

I have to confess that sometimes I realise that I'm falling asleep, just waiting .....   and waiting ....

perhaps we could all do with slowing down a bit now and again.

Just sayin' .

Message to Danny:

Okay, it may be my fault or Chris (paperman) whistle, but this morning while we were both online, our names suddenly disappeared. I thought that Chris had signed off (maybe he had, I don't know), but my name disappeared too.

I now see that no names are showing in the "currently online" list, (no 'guests' either) and also the little red or green 'ball' indicating online or offline underneath our entries is reading offline all the time, despite being online at the time.

Weird and spooky - another little glitch for you to sort, Danny - or not!! laugh  whistle

Thanks, Val. Seems like the count of database errors was slowly and steadily growing, leading to an increasing number of mysterious niggles. I ran the repair utility this evening, which appears to have sorted it out but I have no idea why it happened in the first place.

Never knowingly underfed
