I have seen comments dotted around the forum that some users experience difficulty opening links.
I use Firefox 4.0.1 on a Windows laptop running XP and they work fine for me.
Please use this thread to report your issues regarding links and mention the three pieces of information:
What browser your are using and the version. You can see the version in the About menu on most every browser, I think.
What computer you are using (PC or Mac)
What operating system is running on your computer
Here is a test link to Google

OK Danny, having just checked (just to be sure, seeing as this is all very 'whooshy' for me ), I am on Vista Home Premium, IE 9, and its the same on both my desktop and laptop - can't open links here on either. I never used to have a problem, it's only been in the last week/10 days/fortnight or so. I don't know whether the links will open eventually.....have tried waiting for about, ooh, a minute before I get fed up and close it (patience is not one of my virtues
).
Whilst we're on the subject of stuff not opening......ever since I've been on this forum, I haven't been able to see the avatars of some members - like Hattie, EP, Seth for example. Yet others - yourself, Danuta and TA, eg - I can. Any ideas?
learning to love veg…..except celery :-O
Sue - the avatars - the people you mentioned do not have avatars. I think that IE displays a box with nothing in it, whereas Firefox displays nothing at all, which is more attractive. Maybe I can configure a default avatar.
I will try IE9 on Fiona's Vista laptop if she will allow me

I have a Mac 10.5.8
I use Safari and the link works fine. I also can run on Firefox so I tried it as a wee experiment and it worked very well. How strange!! Could it be something to do with Broadband strength and speed, although mine is not particularly good!

I've tried the link in chrome and also firefox 3.6 on a mac osx 10.6.7 and it works ok for me. I wonder if the problem is the way the links redirect to the actual address instead of directly going there?
