Heather, in PhotoBucket, hover your mouse pointer over your photograph.
That should make a box appear below the photo.
The box should have four different link codes.
The one you want is the IMG code, I think it starts with [IMG]
Just copy and paste that straight into your forum post.
Never knowingly underfed
Yes, I did follow your instructions and click on the IMG code button, Danny, and just clicked to copy. So I'm pretty sure I did that bit okay, but I will try again. When I highlighted the Spikey Baby text and clicked on the link button above, the wording turned bright blue and was underscored. Is that bit right? It looked fine in the 'Reply to Topic' box " just went all higgledy-piggledy when I posted my comment. Maybe it's the linking bit I need to check out. I was doing that bit from memory, so ¦.. 'nuff said. I'll have another go later on. Must now prepare myself for a slow dash in car to Bromsgrove, to post C¦.. card to my not-to-be-named CSH chum. Brrrrr. Just starting to snow so must get going. Many thanks for the support " I'm getting there slowly.
Gone crazy. Back soon.
TA, you are a sweetheart! I have utmost faith in your abilities as TechnoQueen.
The clicking on the IMG box isn't doing it for me, but I think the Share The Album link might just do the trick. Here goes ¦.
Eureka! Well, the Share The Album route works, at last. TA - any idea why I can't link a single photo directly, using the IMG link that Danny suggests. How did you get Spike to appear - your magic wand?
Gone crazy. Back soon.
Heather, I always use the Direct Link option, not the IMG one. If you click that once, come back to the forum click the 'tree' image on the top row, right click where it says image URL then click 'insert image' and it should appear. Have another go.
BTW, I am no techno queen, I had to be led all the way.
I'll try that again!
Wow! I'm stunned! I really like this, and thanks a lot, TA. However, is it now possible to convert this to a text link - ie a green link labelled 'Spike' or similar? I like this small link, but won't links like this take up too much space in a comment? Not sure how to proceed from here.
Gone crazy. Back soon.
HURRRRRAAAAHHHH! Sussed it! Re-read Danuta's comment and picked up on the Direct link option, and then followed Danny's route of painting over a phrase to make the link. So now I have 2 choices - oh me, oh my! I'm getting too clever by half.
Thank you all so much for holding my hand through this learning curve.
Gone crazy. Back soon.
