Thank you for the link Hattie, I just investigated the 'drops of water illusion face cloth' such fun!  I might join the site even if I only make one thing...

I'll try that again!

There are some very nice wools around now specifically for knitting that is going to be felted...memory loss as to name and make, but they are lovely......has to be pure wool.

Kateuk makes things at http://www.etsy.com/shop/finkstuff and sometimes she does this too http://www54paintings.blogspot.com/ and also this http://finkstuff.weebly.com/

Agreed definitely has to contain pure wool, otherwise like I said you end up with a crinkly effect, which could be fun. Alpaca wool also felts by the way. Not sure if there are bits that felt more than others but I am sure I will find out later. cheers

ah, right, in that case no, it's a gorgeous hand dyed self patterning wool, a bit like the Noro wools if anyone has seen them

I found this interesting little article on decorative felting. It mentions that she did this felting in the microwave¦¦very interesting, in the past I have dyed fabrics & skeins of silk in them, which worked very well.

Yet more felted works. Because this is one of the artist's Pinterest pages the content will change often.
