Yes Val, I had the same thoughts about felting crochet work but I thought i would just check it out seeing as Google is so efficient at rounding up information. I have to make a nest for Button as she is rather put out because some of the hens have decided to lay their eggs in her woven basket....there always seem to be a hen in it. She doesn't harm them, she just looks perplexed. laugh

I can just imagine how Button would react to seeing hen's eggs in her basket, poor thing.

I'll try that again!

She is so used to the chickens now; she knows they belong to me. They all get on so well. She is a very bright cat & knows how to behave, to please me.  smile

Wish I had a cat that well behaved. Wonder what our cats will make of our chickens?

Love the felting projects Nadine and hopefully will be able to get on with some felting next year when we have our own fleece.cheers Or maybe I shall just buy the neighbours fleeces - hmmm! Now there's an idea.whistle

I'm impressed Joanna....will you spin them yourself?  Something I have never tried although I have researched it for various theatre productions.

I will probably have someone spin the wool for me as there are quite a few spinners locally and I would guess someone might like a bit of extra cash.

Those needlefelt animals are incredible and so is the price but I think by looking at them you are definitely paying for what you get. Sometimes it is only fair to pay more.

I've found a pattern & instructions for making house slippers by crocheting them first & then felting. I think I definitely might add a non-slip sole to it once finished.

I had previously found a lovely pair of crochet slippers but no pattern. Luckily Val found it for me. These are on the Crochet thread.

And I thought now I've finished my thesis I'm going to have more time. Looks like I could be busy being creative instead whistle

Good for you, Joanna !  It's always a good idea to tackle something very different after completing a long project. It keeps very different parts of one's brain working.

I think that is one reason I actually like the course I do as my last project combined so many different studies from science based research to more social studies. Still like you said, a change of project will do me a world of good.cheers
