Brilliant.

Can I just ask....is it just me, or do other people keep hitting the report key, instead of the reply key? , yeah, I thought so, just me then!

OH has two yarn stashes, one in a big container in the lounge, and one that takes up most of the loft space (well that's how it seems to me), but we don't talk about the loft one!

Are we having fun yet? I am!

Janet, if it is any good to you, I have not received any reports recently and, if I do, I will contact you by PM to discuss it.

As you were - Knitting Stash.

I'll try that again!

You're right, Jan - it's just you !!   runaway

This stash business is getting out of hand, I have to admit - and projects on the go, too!

Ottomans; large boxes; many large bags; and loft. (complete bedroom - it isn't possible to sleep in there, no room for a bed!)

That's without the stash of materials/fabrics ..... whistle  no, we won't go there, either!

I really must sort it!

One day.

Perhaps.

Well, despite having a substantial stash, I still can't resist ...

We went into our local 'cheapy' store, called GIFI, and there was a huge basket with 50g balls of assorted yarns. I found a sand-coloured one, with 50% wool, and 20% alpaca - so I rummaged a bit and found 5 of them, all for 2 euros each (about £1.50-ish). I haven't thought about what to knit, just couldn't resist ... whistle

Sue, they are beautifully soft, and would probably make a lovely item that would be comfy on the skin, too (say, scarf, or jumper). I think I would have regretted it if I hadn't bought them! laugh

I've been using up some of my stash in a hat that I'm knitting for my ski hol, it started off with just one odd ball of the most gorgeous silky self patterning stuff that I've been hoarding a bit, not wanting to use in any of my little projects, then decided it would make a nice hat, but unfortunately it wasn't quite big enough, so this has now become a multi coloured, multi patterned hat as I'm using up a few others. I'm knitting it in the round on 4 needles and it'll end up looking something like a pixie hat, long and pointed.

Ooh, that offer on their Stylecraft makes it cheaper than where I normally buy mine from.....that's tempting!  And some free patterns too if you (I) order some yarn......laugh
