For those of you who missed out on the metal bedstead competition: we’ve got another great prize to offer you! This time we’re teaming up with Direct Line home insurance  to give you the chance to win one of two B&Q vouchers worth £50!

Like most people these days, I review all of our insurance policies annually. Looking at all the options can be time consuming but definitely worth doing as it can save a lot of money. I use the comparison sites first to get the general lay of the land and then I look at the companies that are not listed on comparison sites. To date I have generally gone with insurers that are not listed on comparison sites as they can offer tweaks and deals that meet our needs exactly.

Direct Line is not listed on any comparison site and is one of the most trusted insurers in the UK. They realise the value that we put on the contents of our homes – that’s why they are offering a prize of a couple of £50 of B&Q vouchers for two lucky winners to add something special to their own home.

oh what a lovely prize! am daydreaming about spending it already! would love some new planters as the old wooden troughs I have in the back garden have sadly fallen apart and are only being held together by the weeds that are in them!

Having sat on 2 of our set of 4 chairs and gone through the (obviously rotten) seating I think we would have to but some new garden chairs. Or maybe as it’s a bonus we could use it indulgently for a swing seat. Thank you again, you have been busy – you’ve hardly finished sorting out the bed!

  3. No gardening things, this would be ME time and once summer arrives then a Sun Lounger would be perfect, to lounge and admire all of the work i have done over the months in the garden, A glass of Chablis and total relaxation, cheers

Ooh another prize draw! This would be handy as I am currently working on the garden and decking area so fingers crossed xxx

I would buy a small hand sander as I desperately need to sand down our beech wood kitchen work tops (OH & sons tended to cut food straight on the counters despite my pleas). I would also put some towards a hedge trimmer so that I would stand a better chance of getting one of the boys to trim our leylandii hedge or at least have less difficulty doing it myself.

I’d get some peat-free compost, a small water butt for storing water from the dehumidifiers in the house so I could use it on the house plants and garden, or maybe some storage boxes so I could get more into the shed and still be able to find things!

I would put it towards buying a new shed, mine is listing to starboard at the moment and about to collapse at any minute.

lots of vile cheap fence treatment and brushes …so the teen slaves could have a productive summer break!!

Thank you for another fantastic offer! I would put it towards a new patio table and chairs, as ours are on their last legs.

  10. Well, like many of the others something for the allotment. The battery on my strimmer has worn out and at the rate the grass is growing i need a new one fast!!
